ROCA strongly encourages its attorneys to participate in Pro Bono cases. Assistance includes working with low-income individuals in matters of rectification of their civil status entries, recognition of parentage, legal support in criminal cases, property rights and land regularization of their homes, as well as counsel to victims of domestic violence. A core focus of this practice includes offering its legal expertise to several nonprofit institutions such as church organizations and others concentrated on education and in creating job opportunities for the underprivileged.
With a strong conviction that its personal growth entails a social commitment, ROCA’s team works closely with the Dominican Development Foundation (FDD), the most important nonprofit association in the Dominican Republic whose governing body is composed by recognized entrepreneurs. Since it was founded, its mission has been to create jobs through training programs, technical assistance and financial services to people with limited resources.
As well, ROCA took on the representation of the Program titled “Aula Hope” (Hope Classroom) created by the Ashton Foundation, a nonprofit entity whose main priority is to develop higher quality education for underprivileged children along with spiritual values. This initiative is currently being implemented in several schools.
